For decades, EGRA has been a guarantee of first-class ideas and products involving high voltage technology and electrostatics.
The company's history began with an extraordinary man: The founder, Egon Graf, who first made a name for himself in the early forties when he built an electric motorbike, set himself the goal of building electric capacitors marked by two main characteristics: high-quality manufacturing combined with consistently high reliability. So, from 1945 onwards he started making the first capacitors for radios - alternating current capacitors for electric motors and Tesla transformers.
Knowledge and success grows from experience
EGRA has remained dedicated to this high level of quality to this day. During the course of the company's history, the range of products has changed as a result of our constant new developments. In the fifties, EGRA started manufacturing starter capacitors for fluorescent tubes. Just a few years later, EGRA found the product area where this innovative company has now been at home for decades:
the development and production of high voltage capacitors. Many other high voltage technology products have been added since then.

Our product range - EGRA has the solution
Our products are used in numerous ways. The high voltage generators are primarily used where small parts need to be moved and loads applied or removed. The high voltage capacitors are used mainly for high surge current discharges and for equalisation purposes. The high voltage transformers are primarily in demand for their small partial discharge values at the highest possible voltages.
